Dress Standards

Golf Course:
Neat and tidy attire
Footwear must be worn at all times (this includes children)
No Singlets
No dirty or torn work clothes
No thongs after 7pm
Clubhouse:
Collared shirt
Neat & Tidy Shorts
Socks
Enclosed shoes

Behaviour in Clubhouse

  • Members and visitors are required to behave in an appropriate manner at all times. Bar staff reserve the right to refuse service at anytime.
  • Children must be supervised at all times.
  • Children under the age of 12 are not permitted to use the pool tables unless supervised by an adult.
  • Smoking is not permitted in the Bistro area, toilets, tiled area of the bar and from the front entrance of the Club to the service area of the bar.
  • Takeaway alcohol is for members only. Members purchasing alcohol for non-members will have their membership cancelled.

Membership Categories

Ordinary
As an Ordinary Member of the Jabiru Golf Club you are entitled to play on the course at any time, except during Open Competitions (unless a competitor), without payment of green fees. You may participate in any golfing competition organised by the Club, as long as you have a current Club handicap and pay the appropriate competition fee. Handicaps are maintained by the Club Captain. The Jabiru Golf Club is a member of the AGU (Australian Golfing Union) and therefore affiliated with other Golf Clubs throughout Australia. This allows a member to play at those Clubs, subject to the rules of the affiliated Club.

Country Golf
A Country Golf Member must reside in excess of 50 km from Jabiru. Country Golf Members must pay green fees. A Country Golf Member who is also a member of a club that has reciprocal rights with Jabiru, is not required to pay green fees for five (5) days during any year. They may participate in any competition organised by the Club, as long as they have a current recognised handicap and pay the appropriate competition fee. Affiliation fees to the AGU will also be paid.

Country Social
A Country Social Member must reside in excess of 50 km from Jabiru. Country Social Members must pay green fees. A Social member does not have affiliation fees paid for them, so are not entitled to play golf at other affiliated clubs.

Student/Junior Golf
A Student/Junior Member is under 18 years of age and attending school. They are encouraged by members to play golf, without payment of green fees. They are urged to gain a handicap and with payment of the appropriate competition fee, play in competitions. Affiliation fees to the AGU will also be paid.

Student/Junior Social
A Student/Junior Member is under 18 years of age and attending school. They are encouraged by members to play golf, without payment of green fees. They are urged to gain a handicap and with payment of the appropriate competition fee, play in competitions.

Social Individual
A Social Individual Member must pay green fees each time they use the course. You are encouraged to participate in organised Club Social events eg Ambrose, Chook Run. Restrictions of use apply when the course is closed for Special Events, such as Opens.

Social Spouse
Social Spouse is the spouse of an Ordinary Member and has the same rights as the Social Individual/Social Family. Green fees must be paid each time they use the course.

Social Family
This includes a social individual, defacto/spouse and family or any combination thereof. Children are included in this category, until the year they turn 18 or gain full time employment. They are then encouraged to join as Social Individual, Student/Junior or Ordinary Members. Green fees must be paid each time the course is used.

Nomination Fee

This fee of $33.00 is to be paid on all new memberships and after the lapse of a membership.

Visitors
As an introduction to the Club, members are encouraged to invite guests. The financial member must sign the guest into the Visitors Book. Visitors are welcome upto four (4) times in a calendar year and then encouraged to submit an Application for Membership.
